“Why do we feel comfortable when we are most vulnerable?”
Depth is an investigation of the sensorial responses of humans in the sea of unknowns through immersive theatre and puppetry. We wish to take the audience on a small journey hoping they to come out with a sense of peace amid uncertainty.
This journey is a down way that comes back up, meeting the various textures of fabrics, light, and emulsified by a soundscape created by playing with found materials and existing sounds. Along the way, we meet puppet sea creatures that interact with the audience.
It is after the gentle sway into the abyss of nothingness that we bring them back to the familiar sounds of the shore and reilluminate their realities.
